The following is a listing of bereavement support groups in the Greater Birmingham area. As this is only a listing, please contact the person listed to verify meeting times and locations.
Any local Bereavement Support Organization may add their information to this listing by emailing us at brianrodgers@gmail.com.
Several agencies in the Birmingham area offer grief support services for the recently widowed.
Each program is unique. Most services are provided free of charge. Telephone numbers and names of contact persons are provided so that you may contact any one of these support programs to obtain information about services provided.

Services include:
- Providing volunteers, who have experienced a loss and have received training, to contact the newly grieving persons and discuss their experience of loss.
- Offering opportunities to come together to discuss concerns and provide mutual support.
- Offering telephone numbers that the grieving can call for more information, referral and assistance.
- Providing information about grief and loss.
